Last month, Clubhouse’s valuation hit $1 billion, with high-profile names flurrying to the platform, from celebrities, CEOs, entrepreneurs and musicians, and recently garnering even more media attention with Elon Musk’s recent Tweet that he would be talking live on the social media audio app.

App Annie, the leading mobile data and analytics company, shares its latest insights on Clubhouse, an invitation-only audio-chat social networking app launched in the Spring of last year.

  • On Jan 31, 2021, Clubhouse reached its highest daily downloads yet, up 100% from the daily average of the two weeks prior.

  • While Clubhouse began to gain strong download traction in the US in December 2020, the app has seen surges in downloads in Germany, Japan and Turkey.

  • Clubhouse hit #1 overall by daily iPhone downloads in Japan on Jan 28 and has held that rank through Feb 2, 2021. Additional data:

  • Italy is the #6 largest contributor to app downloads of Clubhouse to date ( Feb 8, 2021) at nearly 140,000.

  • Clubhouse first hit #1 by overall iPhone downloads in Italy on Feb 2, 2021 — up from #881 a week prior — and has held this rank through Feb 8, 2021.
